Our house is empty. Well, not really, but close enough. A new family moved to the area, and we ended up being their sponsors. Since they have small children and needed some household help quite quickly, I offered mine. So, Pascaline and Meekness are working for someone else now! It's strange not to have them here all day. I feel sad and a bit sick. It is seriously like giving away my sisters! We still see them, but it's not the same, as they come with other children now.
Here are some funny pictures of some of our last days together:
Pascaline fell asleep on the floor, and Claire tried to make her more comfortable by putting a blanket on her and putting sunglasses on her face (to make it darker, perhaps?)--and she slept through the whole thing! Ha!!!
Andrew's favorite pastime: Reading books with Meekness! He misses her SO much! He sometimes wakes up and before even getting out of bed he yells "MEEKNESS!! COME READ ME STORIES!!!" Poor kid.
That's always the hard part about moving. Changes are difficult for everyone. Leaving people you love and care about are painful. Although, I think I would take the pain of leaving people I loved than the pain of leaving a place without having loved anyone. We are made better by those we come in contact with. Hopefully we leave them better than we found them, too!
We love you Pascaline and Meekness!
