A little traffic

Some pictures of a day in the life of Cameroonian traffic...

A few side-road stands:

A little roundpoint and some merging... Does anyone see any road signs? Me neither.

Here's a guy walking along with something to sell on his head. This is how they carry EVERYTHING!

Once again, traffic is bad. You always know that traffic is MUCH worse if there are police officers 'directing' it! With no one to direct traffic, it usually goes much more smoothly. This is a two lane road, with probably between three and four lanes of cars trying to get through in just the one direction. You usually have about 1-2 inches of clearance on either side. It was always a lot of fun! :)

I will honestly miss driving here. I've actually come to really enjoy being able to do whatever I wanted when it came to driving! Ha! But, even if I can't drive as lawlessly as I have here, I have learned a great deal about defensive driving and getting through tight spaces! Thank you to the Cameroonian roads!
