Here are some recent kid funnies:
Josh loves school and is doing really well. Today he found the book Hop on Pop and spent most of the afternoon reading it to himself and anyone else who happened to pass by. He's so funny! He'll read a page and chuckle about it for awhile, then continue on. If he has to stop in the middle of the book to help someone, he'll put in his 'bookmark' (a shred of paper) and walk around with his book under his arm until he can sit and read again. I've taught him well! :)
We had so much fun last week in church as Devin was conducting the meeting and I was playing the piano and right in the middle of the congregational hymn Andrew flew a flaming tantrum around Devin's ankles as he led the music--apparently he forgot to ask someone else to lead the music--and screamed that he wanted mommy through the entire hymn! Very reverent. Other than that, though, the kids have been exceptional in dealing with the changes!
Peter was lying on the floor and doing as all babies do: Lifting his legs in the air and waving his arms about. Claire came over to him and asked, "What are you doing baby Peetie? Are you doing 10 Minute Pilates?" Ha!!
Do we read too much? Hmmmm....
Claire, Andrew and I were playing in the playroom today. Claire was playing with her Barbies and My Little Ponies. I was listening to her and this was her conversation:
She was pretending the ponies were in trouble and she yelled, "Help me, Megan! Help!" Then she had 'Megan' respond: "'I'm coming!' she said in a loud voice."
I was laughing so hard! I've heard her do stuff like that before and it cracks me up! She's pretty good at coming up with different adjectives. Such as 'she screamed', 'she said quietly', 'she yelled out'... I suppose she's preparing for a brilliant career as a writer! :)
