Pudding and More Death

The kids were playing with mud this morning. I learned that in Finland for Easter they plant grass seeds in a little planter and put a face on it so it looks like a man growing hair for Spring. (Whether or not this is true, I'm not sure, but I read it in a book, so it must be true, verdad?) So, I had the kids fill up plastic Dixie cups with dirt and plant some of my sprout mixture.

Well, a little while later, Andrew came running in the house and he looked like he'd been eating chocolate pudding. Doh! Apparently, they were making mud cakes and were testing out their new recipes on Andrew. So, I told Andrew he should not eat the dirt (or the water that was mixed in!!!!) or he could get really sick!

Later, after lunch, the kids wanted to go outside and make mud cakes again. I told them they should not eat the dirt or drink the water, or feed it to Andrew! I asked Josh, "What will happen if you eat the dirt?" And, of course, Josh answered with that wide-eyed look: "You could die!!" Ha!!
