Trunk Or Treat!

Here is a picture Halloween of the things we did today:

Tinkerbell:

Peter Pan:

A Police Officer (He absolutely refused to wear the lion outfit to be a 'lost boy'):

In front of the American Flag at Josh's school (for the school Halloween carnival):

Close up of the Cuties!!

At the School Carnival:

"Josh Stole my Cotton Candy!!!"

"Throw that Wet Sponge..."

"...At the Teacher!!!"

(A funny thing: At the carnival, they were selling popcorn. Well, Andrew wanted some, so I took him over to get some. As it so happened, the teacher behind the table selling the food is the teacher I work with in the Spanish class, so we started talking...and, well, Andrew reached up, found a cup, and started helping himself to the popcorn! Ha! From then on, if I lost track of the kid, all I had to do was look around, and there he was at the food table, reaching his little hand up to refill his cup o' popcorn! He had both of us laughing! The teacher mentioned how it was a very 'Halloweeny' thing to do, as she would be just standing there, and all of a sudden, since Andrew was too short to be seen over the table, a little hand would reach up over the top of the popcorn container and start taking out handfuls! Very funny guy!!)

To the 'Work' Party:

All the Family: Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, the Police Officer, Wendy and Her Pirate! :)

(*Disclaimer: Wendy is having a fat day, so please try to avert your eyes...Blah...but isn't the dress pretty? I got lots of compliments! Hooray for tailors!!)

The Trunk or Treat:

We even decorated our car! It was a big hit, too, as Devin was in the back of the van behind the giant monster 'mouth', and I had cut a hole in the material just above the bottom teeth. To get their candy, the kids had to reach into the hole... He he he! Every time a kid came away they would mention how creepy it was! :) And we had lots of shrieks and giggles! :) We also had 'The Halloween Tree' (Ray Bradbury) playing in the background, which added a lot! :) Worked really well for 2 minutes of work! :) I'll have to remember that one for next year! :)

There was even a Haunted House! They did a really good job with it, too!! Claire was freaked out just going through with the lights on! She kept saying, "I don't like this house!!" Josh went through with the lights on and said that he wasn't scared at all! So, he decided to go in with the big kids, too, after they turned off the lights--well, he didn't make it through. But, that's ok. At least he tried, eh? :)

All in all, it was a very fun day! We really enjoyed ourselves, and had fun as a family at a lot of different activities. Hooray for Holidays! :)
